Trade Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Trade Compliance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of all import and export transactions with relevant regulations and laws.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with import and export regulations;
  • Develop procedures and monitoring tools to ensure compliance with relevant regulations;
  • Lead trade compliance programs and projects to minimize duties and optimize logistics;
  • Monitor governmental changes and public consultations to stay up-to-date on relevant legislation;
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with service providers and evaluate their performance against key indicators;
  • Evaluate and implement new service providers when necessary, defining SOPs and SLAs aligned with business goals and compliance policies;
  • Manage and maintain active licenses for import and export operations, including RADAR and special regimes;
  • Monitor the Landed Cost index for all imports and share indicators with the organization;
  • Collaborate with Global GTM on demands such as cost out and cost avoidance reports, peer audit review, and risk-assessment to monitor compliance risks in the region.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Foreign Trade, Economics, Administration, or related areas;
  • Fluent English and advanced Spanish skills;
  • Experience in one or more areas: Comex, International Logistics, Supply Chain, Customs Consulting, Finance (with tax and taxation topics).

Skills:

  • Import and export legislation and operational procedures;
  • Incoterms, HTS, FTA, Ex-tariff, AEO, Drawback and RECOF;
  • International logistics;
  • Materials Planning, Order Management, and Finance;
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
