Software Engineering Team Lead Position
This is a leadership role where you will oversee the development of software projects. As a Software Engineering Team Lead, your primary responsibility will be to lead and develop a globally distributed team of engineers.
The ideal candidate should have experience in leading teams, preferably with experience managing distributed teams. They should also have strong communication skills and be knowledgeable about software development.
You will collaborate with Product Management to define the vision and strategy for the product. This includes establishing expectations with engineering teams and senior management.
You will also participate in leadership team discussions and contribute to organizational processes through code and architectural review.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Develop Globally Distributed Teams: You will lead and develop a globally distributed team of engineers through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on career development.
- Collaborate with Product Management: Collaborate with Product Management to define the vision and strategy for the product.
- Establish Expectations: Establish and manage expectations with engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to Organizational Processes: Contribute to engineering processes through code and architectural review.
- Foster Collaboration: Foster a collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values.
- Leadership Experience: At least 3 years of experience leading, managing, coaching, and mentoring software developers, preferably with experience managing distributed teams.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills in English.
- Software Development Knowledge: Knowledgeable and passionate about software development.
- Affinity for Agile: Experience working in an agile development environment.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or similar field.
- Practical Experience: Practical experience with a modern GNU/Linux distribution, such as Debian or Ubuntu.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or Amazon Web Services.
