As a seasoned system administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing various aspects of the z/OS environment.

You will support and improve multi-technology monitoring and automated remediation systems that support internal applications and systems.

You will identify process improvements and propose automation solutions to help resolve customer pain points and co-create solutions to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support using problem determination and source analysis.
  • Utilize technical and negotiation skills in collaboration with other support operations/organizations to prioritize and diagnose problems to resolution.
  • Recommend and implement optimization and automation for existing technical support tools, procedures, and processes, and implement new tools.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members.

Required Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of z/OS Base, z/Storage, or z/Config support in a mainframe environment.
  • Experience with Cloud Infrastructure and Network technologies.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, including installation, configuration, high availability, root cause analysis, performance tuning, and security & compliance activities.
  • Experience working with global teams across multiple locations.
  • Experience in Data Center Management and Migrations.
  • Experience in Disaster Recovery.
  • Experience in Modernization and Automation.
  • Ability to work autonomously with an innovative mindset.
  • Lead discussions on z/OS infrastructure design, planning, and implementation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ansible experience on Mainframe.
  • Experience with z/OS Middleware (DB2, IMS), Base/Storage, TWS, Network, or Netview.
  • Experience in automation and testing of new workloads.
