Job Title: Anti-Money Laundering and Risk Governance Specialist

Job Description:

This role involves ensuring compliance with EU and FINTRAC AML requirements by developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and controls.

  • Develop and implement effective AML systems in line with regulatory changes and emerging risks.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, and regulatory risks in payment services.

  • Maintain risk assessment frameworks and conduct regular reviews to ensure effective mitigation strategies are in place.

  • Integrate crypto assets into AML and risk frameworks to track regulatory changes and emerging risks.

  • Collaborate with regulators on cryptocurrency transactions and related risks.

  • Prepare compliance and risk reports for stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in AML, Compliance, or Risk Management roles within the financial services or payments industry.

  • Strong knowledge of EU AML regulations and FINTRAC requirements.

  • In-depth knowledge of VISA and MasterCard operating regulations.

  • Previous experience with a Card Acquirer is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of EU crypto regulatory frameworks is a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and apply them to business operations.

  • Fluent Russian and confident English communication skills.
