System Design and Optimization Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough cost-benefit analyses to identify optimum process solutions for systems and equipment.
  • Develop accurate process specifications by performing simulations and calculations, and provide data to support compressor, air chiller, adsorption system, distillation column, cold box, control valve, relief valve, manual valve, pump, heat exchanger, tank, pipeline measurement equipment, analyzer, silencer, cooling tower, and other air separation equipment components.
  • Create detailed Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Heat and Material Balances (HMB).
  • Collaborate in P&ID development, HAZOP, plant commissioning and start-up, technical risk analysis, safety and environmental assessments, and documentation, ASU troubleshooting, and investigations.
  • Evaluate project performance and ensure successful completion of assigned project phases on schedule and within defined parameters.
  • Review technical aspects of vendor equipment proposals to verify compliance with design criteria and standards.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers as necessary.
  • Stay current with new process technologies and industry best practices to maintain expertise.
  • Assist in developing departmental best practices, processes, procedures, tools, and standard specifications.
  • Collect and maintain Lessons Learned logs and support continuous improvement efforts.
