Medical Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional patient care and support services.

About the Role:

The Medical Assistant will assist Physicians with examinations, medical procedures, and patient care. This includes preparing patients for appointments, obtaining vital signs, and maintaining examination rooms and medical supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares patients for medical appointments and procedures, including taking vital signs and recording medical history.
  • Assists Physicians with examinations, medical procedures, and treatments as needed.
  • Maintains examination rooms, medical supplies, and equipment in a clean and organized manner.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, staff, and Physicians to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Schedules follow-up appointments, retrieves lab reports, and files records as required.
  • Provides patient education and instructions on medication, treatment, and self-care as directed by Physicians.
  • Handles phone calls, messages, and routine information according to established procedures.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years' experience in a physician's office, clinic, or hospital setting.
  • An Associate's degree in Medical Technology, Nursing, or related field is preferred.
  • Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is also required.
