We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Professional to lead and manage our Investment Services and Risk Management function.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our company's credit function from a risk perspective, managing risk management initiatives, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the company's credit function from a risk perspective
  • Management of risk management initiatives by effectively monitoring and identifying risks, implementing risk mitigation strategies, developing and translating strategies into projects and processes to ensure adherence to desired business outcomes and department standards
  • Management of the Company's Risk Management Policies & Procedures
  • Implementation of the Company's Risk Monitoring Programme and ensuring this is updated to capture all business risk areas at all times
  • Partnering with key stakeholders to develop and implement standards, processes, programs, and best practices related to risk management
  • Driving the risk and control assessment reporting process, providing insights and recommendations to management to inform decision-making and risk strategies
  • Driving innovation in risk management processes by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Drafting regular reports to the Risk & Audit Committee and Board of Directors as needed from time to time
  • Staying abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices in the field of risk management
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must possess sufficient qualifications to obtain approval as a Risk Manager (for instance FRM)

  • Ideal experience in Loans and/or Credit facilities
  • Superior organization, excellent analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • In possession of, or working towards, a professional qualification in Risk Management
  • At least 3 years of previous work experience in a similar managerial role within the banking or financial sector
  • Highly computer literate with a very strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
