The purpose of this position is to facilitate compliance with accreditations, data management, and strategic planning for the School of Business. The successful candidate will orient and train administrators, assign and review their work, and act in a lead capacity over other positions performing essentially the same work or related technical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal contacts include senior leadership, Office of Institutional Assessment and Research, as well as staff throughout the School of Business and from various departments, schools, and colleges within the university. External contacts are with various accreditation bodies and other stakeholders engaged in strategic initiatives by the School of Business.
Principal Accountabilities:
Under the direction of the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, the incumbent will lead the further development and refinement of the School's compliance with all accreditation requirements, specifically the six-year AACSB review cycle, strategic initiatives and Assurance of Learning assessment process. The candidate will collect and analyze data to report on areas of concern and strategic importance to stakeholders, provide guidance for high-level decision making towards continuous improvement, and carry out training to advise department chairpersons and other leaders in the School of Business.
Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of administrative and supervisory principles and practices. Maintain a professional and welcoming work environment at all times, team player. Superior oral and written communication skills, superior organization skills, attention to detail. Skill in planning, analyzing and coordinating activities and establishing priorities. Mastery in the use of personal computer/software and other technologies. Tactful and poised, exercises good judgment, high professionalism in confidential situations. Mastery of independent decision-making without immediate supervision or guidance. The ability to work effectively with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds. Advanced understanding of university administrative processes.
