Job Title: Senior Research Director

The Senior Research Director plays a pivotal role in driving the research agenda of our institution. This position is responsible for providing strategic direction, oversight, and coordination of all research activities.

This senior leadership role will be instrumental in developing and implementing a comprehensive research strategy aligned with our mission and goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading research initiatives, fostering collaborations, and securing external funding.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a research strategy that aligns with our mission and goals.
  • Identify emerging research trends and opportunities and guide our research priorities accordingly.
  • Foster a culture of research excellence, integrity, and collaboration across all academic departments and disciplines.

The Senior Research Director will work closely with faculty, staff, and external partners to promote a culture of research excellence and innovation. This includes overseeing research centers, institutes, and shared or core research facilities, as well as representing our institution at national and international research committees.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research administration, leadership, and communication. They will be able to develop and manage resources, oversee human subjects research, animal care and use, and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
