We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join our team at Spirax-Sarco Engineering. As a key member of our EHS team, you will play a critical role in driving the implementation of our EHS, Sustainability, and Quality culture.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and evolve our existing EHS system to improve our safety culture.
- Implement and promote continuous improvement through procedures, training, campaigns, initiatives, and projects to permeate our quality, health, safety, and environmental culture.
- Drive the sustainability culture through the implementation of our One Planet Strategy.
- Monitor compliance with occupational safety and environmental regulations, provide technical support in obtaining and maintaining licenses.
- Evolving and implementing EHS&S policies and procedures in readiness for maintaining ISO certifications and compliance with legal and group standards and best practices.
- Self-managing and highly motivated with the ability to work effectively in multiple teams.
- Organized, methodical, resilient, and approachable with strong communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to engage others effectively and drive change across all levels, finding pragmatic solutions.
- Can effectively and appropriately challenge others.
- Delivery-focused with strong attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Occupational Safety Technician, preferably with active registration with the Ministry of Labor.
- Proven experience working in the EHS area.
- Proven experience working with projects and environmental licensing processes at CETESB, environmental monitoring (soil, water, and air), preparing and reviewing environmental program reports.
- Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation, government licenses, and programs.
- Experience and strong understanding of ISO 9001, 14001.
- IT tools: Microsoft IT packages.
- Intermediate English preferred.
