Unlock New Horizons as a Software Engineer

We are on the hunt for a skilled software engineer to join our Certification team, who design and develop tools that enable us to ensure devices function properly. As a Python developer with hardware expertise, you will be at the interface between software and hardware, developing tools needed to certify hardware as compatible with Ubuntu Core, Desktop, and Server.

This is an excellent opportunity to have a meaningful impact on Linux adoption across multiple device categories and industries. Our team works together with silicon companies, OEMs, ODMs, and other teams to deliver a smooth and secure out-of-the-box Ubuntu experience.

The ideal candidate will have a self-motivated approach to software development, with experience in Python, test automation methodologies, and a quality-oriented approach to software design and implementation. Familiarity with C programming language and experience working in agile environments is a plus.

Key responsibilities include maintaining and developing new features in our Python-based test automation tools, inventing new ways to enable remote automated testing, helping build software counterparts to in-house designed testing hardware, writing functional and performance tests to support hardware enablement, and participating in international meetings.
