This role involves participating in the Neurodegeneration Computational Fellows Training Program, where you will develop and apply computational skills in neuroscience research.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze datasets related to neurodegenerative diseases using computational tools under mentorship guidance.
- Apply statistical or machine learning methods to support research on disease mechanisms following lab protocols.
- Process data tasks, such as image analysis or sequence alignment, using provided software or scripts.
- Prepare research summaries and present findings at lab meetings or external conferences.
- Contribute to team discussions, collaborating with lab members to integrate computational and experimental findings.
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) or data analysis tools, with a strong interest in learning advanced computational techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
- Clear written and verbal communication to present research progress and engage with scientific audiences.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in neuroscience, biology, computer science, bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Some exposure to programming, data analysis, or neuroscience research through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
- Demonstrated interest in neurodegeneration research and ability to work collaboratively under mentorship guidance.
