Principal Computational Analyst

This position involves participating in a comprehensive training program at a leading university, focusing on developing and applying computational skills in neuroscience research.
The fellow will work under the mentorship of a principal investigator or lab leader, analyzing datasets related to neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, or traumatic brain injury. This role aims to advance our understanding of disease mechanisms through interdisciplinary research.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in data analysis using computational tools, identifying patterns or biomarkers in neurodegenerative diseases.
- Apply statistical or machine learning methods to support research on disease mechanisms.
- Support data processing tasks, such as image analysis or sequence alignment.
- Prepare research summaries and present findings at meetings or conferences.
- Basic familiarity with programming (e.g., Python, R) or data analysis tools.
- Ability to approach complex datasets with curiosity and apply structured methods.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working in teams.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to acquire new skills and adapt to evolving research tools.
