Loss Control ConsultantJob Description:
As a Loss Control Consultant, you will be responsible for conducting surveys to evaluate property and business interruption exposures at client facilities.
You will develop recommendations based on standards, including loss estimates before and after completion of the recommendations.
Evaluate automatic fire protection and water supply systems.
Report and evaluate building construction, occupancy, special, and natural hazards.
Develop loss estimates based on scenarios such as maximum foreseeable loss.
Provide training and peer review for other consultants; serve as a technical resource.
Prepare and present proposals, develop service instructions, solicit feedback, and prepare stewardship reports.
Provide project management services, including special visits, plan reviews, and presentations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 10+ years of consulting experience in fire and property loss control.
- Experience in major account servicing.
- Ability to manage own workload.
- Recognized technical expertise.
Functional Requirements:
- Review and respond to communication from clients and internal teams.
- Carry out fieldwork, report writing, consulting, and plan review.
- Manage workload and revise accordingly.
- Climb ladders, lift/carry up to 50 lbs., stoop, crouch, crawl, traverse catwalks.
- Travel may be up to 50% and include out-of-district work.
- Hold certifications or working toward Professional Engineer License (PE), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS).
