Job Opportunity: Cloud-Based Compute Platform Engineer

We are seeking a talented and results-driven Software Engineer to join our remote team, expanding our engineering capabilities. As a key member of our engineering team, you will help build and evolve our next-generation cloud-based compute platform for digitally-delivered life insurance.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact at a high-growth enterprise software company in the life insurance space. You will collaborate with other developers and a product manager to design, develop, and implement software solutions that meet the needs of our clients worldwide.

  • Develop features that optimize Sureify's main platform;
  • Evaluate and document existing integrations;
  • Work with CI / CD / IaC tools;
  • Write clear technical documentation;
  • Work in a dedicated Agile delivery environment;
  • Collaborate with distributed teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field;
  • 8+ years of experience writing production-quality code, ideally on core software product development (not only professional services or implementation projects);
  • Strong proficiency with React and solid experience with NodeJS;
  • Solid understanding of software design patterns and best practices in frontend architecture;
  • Experience with Test Driven Development;
  • Experience designing and building scalable, enterprise-grade cloud-native applications;
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL;
  • Familiarity with integrating 3rd party APIs (REST, XML, JSON);
  • Exposure to Cloud services and DevOps tools (AWS, Docker, Redis, Kubernetes);
  • Upper-Intermediate English level.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing production code using Typescript;
  • Familiarity with Orchestration Platforms.
