Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to oversee the purchasing activities for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in electronics or IT hardware procurement, with a focus on cost optimization and supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management:

    • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for components and materials based on their performance, quality, and delivery capabilities.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure favorable terms, including pricing, payment conditions, and delivery schedules.

  • Purchase Order Processing:

    • Generate and process purchase orders according to production schedules and inventory requirements, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing disruptions.
    • Monitor order status and coordinate with suppliers to resolve any issues that may arise during the procurement process.

  • Cost Management:

    • Negotiate pricing and payment terms with suppliers to optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.
    • Regularly conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for savings through process improvements, supplier renegotiation, or alternative sourcing.

  • Inventory Control:

    • Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring sufficient stock without excess capacity.
    • Monitor stock levels and initiate purchases to prevent shortages or excess inventory, aligning with business needs and market fluctuations.

  • Quality Assurance:

    • Work with the QA department to ensure all purchased materials meet established quality standards, specifications, and regulations.
    • Manage non-conformance issues with suppliers, addressing defects, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

  • Market Research:

    • Stay informed about market trends affecting component availability, pricing, and lead times, enabling proactive decision-making.
    • Anticipate supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to minimize impact on operations.

  • Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate procurement records and update the ERP system, ensuring data integrity and traceability.
    • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance, facilitating business insights and strategic decisions.
