Global Supply Chain Leadership Role
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Global Supply Chain Organization as an Import Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing weekly control reports demonstrating process performance, gaps, and deliverables. This role will lead the purchasing of finished goods for facilities sourced from external locations, with primary destinations in Baltimore, Houston, and Chicago.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders and product management teams to drive reliable supply plans satisfying USA demand for imported materials.
- Determine when Interco PO's of finished goods need to be placed with sourced plants (Germany and Brazil) and coordinate updates to POs processes ensuring inventory levels prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Run reports in SAP systems and execute purchasing of sourced finished goods, converting order proposals into POs considering current inventory, open sales orders, forecast, open Interco PO, Lead Time of Sourced Finished Goods.
- Evaluate order recommendations, make analyses, question when unsure, and contact immediate managers or relevant coworkers for clarification and confirmation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Administration, preferably with training in customer service, logistics, foreign trade. Advanced English level-written/listening/speaking. Good SAP skills (SD, MM, PP). Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word).
Experience:
In Import Controllers, Purchasing Planners, Import Planners, Customer Service, or similar positions within the industry and logistical duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience and/or training in logistic, foreign trade, Purchasing Planning.
