Lead R&D Mechanical Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead R&D Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies and simulations for power transformers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to propose and develop new technologies, products, and processes for both core and shell-type transformers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and supervising the manufacturing and testing of prototypes
  • Leading and managing R&D projects independently, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and meeting required quality standards
  • Maintaining and developing technical standards and design tools for transformers
  • Preparing technical reports and specifications, and participating in educational programs

This is a challenging role that requires strong collaboration skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and fluency in spoken and written English.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, experience in R&D projects, engineering, or academic research, and advanced knowledge in transformer technology. Additionally, proficiency in CAD modeling software (CREO, SolidWorks, SolidEdge) and experience with numerical simulations (e.g., fluid dynamics, mechanical simulations) using tools like Ansys, Fluent, and CREO are essential.
