Location:Guarulhos, São Paulo, BrazilJob ID:R0090231Date Posted: Company Name:HITACHI ENERGY BRASIL LTDA.Profession (Job Category):Engineering & ScienceJob Schedule:Full timeRemote:NoJob Description:The OpportunityYou will work as an R&D Mechanical Engineer, contributing to the development of technologies and simulations applied to power transformers in a global innovation environment.How You Will Make an ImpactPropose and develop new technologies, products, and processes for both core and shell-type transformers.Perform mechanical design and supervise the manufacturing and testing of prototypes.Lead and manage R&D projects independently, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and with the required quality.Maintain and develop technical standards and design tools for transformers.Prepare technical reports and specifications, and participate in educational programs.Evaluate production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.Support factories in troubleshooting within your area of expertise.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, proposing partnerships and innovative solutions.Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable internal and external standards, procedures, and guidelines.RequirementsMaster's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.Experience in R&D projects, engineering, or academic research.Advanced knowledge in transformer technology.Proficiency in CAD modeling software (CREO, SolidWorks, SolidEdge).
Experience with advanced numerical simulations (e.g., fluid dynamics, mechanical simulations) and tools such as Ansys, Fluent, and CREO.Ability to develop custom technical solutions.Strong collaboration skills in international teams with excellent interpersonal abilities.Fluent spoken and written English.Qualified individuals with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation if you are unable or limited in your ability to use or access the Hitachi Energy career site as a result of your disability.
