Concept Art Supervisor

Epic seeks a seasoned Concept Art supervisor to oversee the creation of high-quality concept art for an upcoming project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in game development, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with artists and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with art leads, directors, and outsource managers to support internal artists
  • Collecting and documenting procedures, engine requirements, and technical examples to support artists
  • Making fixes to ensure assets are consistent and technically game-ready
  • Providing clear and concise feedback to artists and ensuring goals are met
  • Communicating with internal Epic art staff to ensure concept art is clear and respectful of limitations from other disciplines

The successful candidate will have experience working on AAA games in a senior or lead concept artist role, a portfolio demonstrating a range of styles, creativity, and craftsmanship, and effective communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working with intellectual properties
  • A solid understanding of game art disciplines, their workflows, and limitations
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to accurately estimate tasks and maintain schedules
  • Effective communicator, collaborator, and problem solver able to coordinate between internal and external teams
