Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Engineer with maintenance and equipment or electrical experience in the Chemical industry to join our Engineering Team as a risk management specialist.

This individual will be responsible for evaluating equipment integrity, identifying hazards and deficiencies to provide targeted risk mitigation solutions.

The selected candidate will leverage their expertise to deliver risk improvement initiatives, reducing equipment risk and protecting assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate equipment performance and identify potential risks to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze industrial standards and best practices to guide risk assessment and implementation.
  • Prepare comprehensive engineering reports and loss expectancies to support risk improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Boiler & Machinery recommendations.
  • Work independently from a home office, managing time effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Travel to industrial client sites to assess operations and identify risks, with up to 100 overnight trips per year.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering

A minimum of 5 years' work experience combined with a bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.

Experience in high-hazard industries, preferably in the Chemical industry, is highly valued.

Demonstrated understanding of machinery and equipment, with hands-on experience, is essential.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office products, are necessary.

Additionally, analytical, organized, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this role.

Results-driven individuals who are self-learning and fluent in English (spoken and written), with Portuguese also preferred, will thrive in this position.

A valid B1/B2 USA visa is desired but not mandatory.
