IT Infrastructure Monitoring and Deployment Role

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt and quality support to IT Operations teams by responding to alerts relating to IT infrastructure and fixing the underlying condition using established standard procedures.
  • Escalate to other teams in IT Operations when their involvement is required to fix the condition causing the monitoring alert.
  • Take on tasks in the IT infrastructure lifecycle related to provisioning.

What You'll Achieve:

  • Monitor and track service impacting changes in the Enterprise infrastructure.
  • Monitor and analyze incident alerts regarding outages or degradation in infrastructure components and services affecting the Enterprise using monitoring tools.
  • Perform VM deployment and other repeatable IT infrastructure provisioning tasks.
  • Work with IT Operations teams during the installation, upgrade, or decommissioning of infrastructure or software.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of IT experience.
  • Systems Administration experience on Windows and Linux servers.
  • Familiarity with ticketing tools – ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.
  • Experience with system and infrastructure monitoring tools – Argent, ManageEngine, vCenter, Nagios, Oracle OEM, Whatsup Gold, Prometheus, etc.
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and organizational skills, ability to take technical direction and prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Windows Server, Linux, VMware and/or Networking Technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Citrix or other application delivery technologies.
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP and ability to understand and assist in solving network server problems or network infrastructure issues.
  • Understanding of distributed systems architecture and general knowledge of multiple technical disciplines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent.
