Job Summary

PPO is a fintech company that provides digital payment solutions to businesses and banks, enabling them to scale their local payment services through a single connection. As a Director, Payment Partnerships, you will lead a team of five in developing new payment methods and maintaining existing ones in the LatAm region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead two teams: one for developing new and growing existing payment partnerships, and the other for optimizing acquirer performance and chargeback management.
  • Coach and develop team members, creating a strong team environment.
  • Identify regional projects and commercial opportunities to set and raise the bar of payment networks in LatAm.
  • Create new revenue lines from developing new payment partnerships.
  • Reduce and contain costs by measuring and negotiating with existing payment partnerships and ensuring compliance with local scheme and payment method rules.
  • Drive conversion and authorization levels by optimizing volume direction across multiple acquirers.
  • Support the VP, Payment Partnerships, and senior leadership by providing relevant reports, data, and insights.
  • Negotiate and close new business contracts, considering all aspects of a negotiation.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with payment partners, including networks, financial institutions, and industry providers.
  • Understand PPO's competitive position in the region and implement programs to further improve payments products, services, and strategic objectives.
  • Research and analyze industry trends and opportunities for PPO to further distinguish its position in payments products and Go-To-Market plans.
Requirements
  • More than 10 years of proven experience in the cards and local payments industry.
  • Currently working in a similar position, familiar with market conditions and regulatory requirements.
  • Must have experience navigating inside financial services companies, mainly payment providers, with a solid business development track record.
  • Used to working in an international environment.
  • Solid understanding of doing business in Brazil and other countries in Latin America.
  • Fluent English and Spanish a must.
