Senior Cloud Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineering Team Lead to lead our team in optimizing Ubuntu for cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in leading engineering teams and delivering high-quality software solutions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, testing, and publishing Ubuntu images used by millions, ensuring performance and security in cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Leading a team of engineers across similar time zones
- Developing talent through coaching and mentorship
- Applying sound engineering principles and contributing to team goals
- Managing expectations with other teams, management, and stakeholders
- Leading modern, agile development practices
- Prior experience as an engineering manager or technical lead
- Strong technical expertise in Python and Golang
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Distributed work environment with biannual in-person team sprints
- Annual learning and development budget
