Job Description

This position involves working as a healthcare provider in a mental health setting. The ideal candidate will possess a current LPN license to practice in the state of Alabama and have experience in a similar environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessing consumers' physical and mental conditions and providing direct nursing care as needed
  • Coordinating medication administration, including monitoring side effects and reporting any concerns to the physician or CRNP
  • Communicating effectively with the multidisciplinary team regarding consumer needs and treatment plans
  • Providing education to consumers and their families on medication management and other relevant topics
  • Monitoring consumers for potential crisis situations and implementing de-escalation techniques as necessary
Requirements
  • A valid LPN license in the state of Alabama
  • Experience in a mental health setting, preferably with knowledge of psychiatric disorders and psychotropic medications
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
