Job Title: Cost Manager

Job Description:

As a Cost Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects. This includes estimating and cost planning, producing and presenting the final cost plan, tendering and procuring, dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and change control processes, producing monthly post contract cost reports, negotiating and agreeing final accounts, interfacing with clients and other consultants at all project stages, and leading a cost management team.

You will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and to the required quality standards. You will also be responsible for identifying ways in which cost management procedures, templates, and products can be improved and implementing these changes.

The successful candidate will have a degree-qualified or equivalent background in Quantity Surveyor, Engineering, or Architecture, minimum 10 years of experience in similar roles, working towards RICS membership or recently chartered, conversant in all aspects of quantity surveying, and experience in utilizing software systems, including Cost X, CATO, BIM, and Excel.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveyor, Engineering, or Architecture
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in similar roles
  • Working towards RICS membership or recently chartered
  • Conversant in all aspects of quantity surveying
  • Experience in utilizing software systems, including Cost X, CATO, BIM, and Excel
