Service Leader

We are looking for a Service Leader to join our team in Rio de Janeiro. As a Service Leader, you will be responsible for performing service activities on 2-stroke marine diesel engines.

The position requires advanced mechanical, electronic and automation related troubleshooting skills, as well as experience with reciprocating engine repair and overhaul.

  • Performing overhauls and repairs on 2-stroke engines
  • Advanced mechanical, electronic & automation related troubleshooting on 2-stroke engines and ancillary equipment
  • Interacting professionally with customers during the work execution
  • Commissioning of service products
  • Onsite team leading and managing of the assigned team and related activities during the work execution
  • Performing internal and external progress status of the assigned work
  • Assistance in creating the Service Work Reports
  • Ensuring that the work is executed according to quality, environment, health and safety guidelines and site procedures
  • Following-up and reporting on the status of work orders to customers and/or internal stakeholders

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • A passion for developing your knowledge of 2-stroke engines
  • Relevant technical education or qualifications as a combination of education and experience with medium speed 2-stroke engines
  • Knowledge of electrical and automation systems related to two-stroke engines
  • Technical experience in reciprocating engine repair and overhaul with practical problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in installation, operation and maintenance of turbochargers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel systems, lubrication systems, cooling systems
