Strategic Risk Manager

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team of risk management specialists in São Paulo, Brazil. Key responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day handling of risk management cases across various systems and platforms, managing complex chargeback cases, compromised accounts, and fund recovery efforts to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Develop and oversee the Risk Management Unit in São Paulo, Brazil
- Oversee day-to-day handling of risk management cases across all systems and platforms relevant to the team
- Manage complex chargeback cases, compromised accounts, and fund recovery efforts, ensuring timely and effective resolution
- Act as the point of escalation for internal and external communications related to serious risk concerns, verifications, and follow-ups
- Coordinate with cross-functional units (fraud, compliance, legal, customer support) to enhance risk detection and prevention capabilities
- Conduct regular team meetings to share updates, collect feedback, and reinforce process changes
- Prepare and present different reports
Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for an exceptional professional who:
- Is fluent in English
- Is a Native Brazilian Portuguese speaker
- Has at least 4 years of previous experience in a similar role
- Has an excellent knowledge of the risk and payments field
- Possesses strong decision-making and communication skills
- Is a team player with leadership skills
