In this key role, you will be responsible for mitigating risks to our people, operations, and assets across the international region, including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, the Pacific, and Latin America.Key job responsibilitiesLead and own complex risk programs (e.G., risk appetite, risk assessment processes, risk training, change management) while managing cross-functional risk initiatives.Identify and mitigate long-term risks, providing strategic guidance in challenging scenarios.Facilitate in-depth discussions to resolve complex business problems, leveraging your expertise to engage the appropriate stakeholders.Keep stakeholders informed of appropriate responses and mitigation strategies for emerging risks within Amazon Operations.A day in the lifeAs a Risk Manager on the Risk Management & Resilience team, you will be part of a group of professionals supporting the Security and Loss Prevention team by translating threat identification into risk assessments, treatment plans, mitigation strategies, and escalation frameworks. In this role, you will lead and manage risk programs aimed at identifying and mitigating operational, asset-related, and personnel-related security risks across the organization. You will plan, design, and implement an overall risk management process, ensuring that risks are effectively communicated to the appropriate audiences. Additionally, you will evaluate the effectiveness of the company's internal control framework in addressing risks and supporting business objectives. You will also provide guidance, education, and training to foster risk awareness across the organization.About The TeamIn partnership with our stakeholders, Security and Loss Prevention safeguards Amazon's end-to-end supply chain and integrates security considerations into business decision-making. Within this organization, the Risk Management & Resilience team plays a critical role by developing and maintaining risk frameworks that support business continuity. We provide services such as risk assessments, preparedness planning, contingency strategies, and incident response to business and operational Security and Loss Prevention teams.Our work spans strategic, tactical, and operational levels, in close collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams within a global framework. We drive results through the development of policies and standardized guidelines based on industry best practices, leveraging technology to reduce subjectivity, complexity, and variability.
