Transportation Safety and Compliance Role

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Safety and Compliance Manager to join our logistics network at Amazon-Servicos-de-Varejo-do-Brasil-Ltda. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive safety and compliance program that aligns with applicable transportation regulations, industry best practices, and corporate guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and oversee the implementation of safety policies, procedures, and standards that ensure adherence across our logistics network.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Review and analyze transportation-related contracts, service level agreements, and carrier documentation to identify potential safety and compliance gaps.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for transportation personnel to enhance their awareness and adoption of safe work practices.
  • Implement robust incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis processes to drive continuous improvement in transportation safety performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, monitor, and address emerging safety and compliance risks.
  • Manage our transportation-related insurance programs, including fleet safety and cargo liability.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of comprehensive transportation safety and compliance documentation.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that impact our transportation safety and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in transportation safety and compliance management, with a track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs.
  • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local transportation regulations ANTT-ANAC regulations.
  • Expertise in transportation contract administration, including review, analysis, and interpretation of contract terms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to conduct risk assessments and develop data-driven recommendations.
  • Familiarity with transportation technologies, such as telematics, fleet management systems, and route optimization tools.
  • Able to speak and write English.
  • Knowledge of Excel and SQL.
