Cash collection is a critical function that ensures the smooth flow of funds into an organization. As a cash collector, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing cash collections from outstanding invoices and managing assigned accounts.

The primary responsibility of a cash collector is to support the cash collection team in various tasks, including identifying and pursuing debts, negotiating payment plans with customers, and ensuring timely collection activities meet deadlines.

To excel in this role, you must possess excellent communication and objection handling skills, be proactive in debt pursuit, and have a firm but patient approach when dealing with customers.

In addition to these skills, you should have good knowledge of Excel and Word, as well as experience working with multiple IT tools. Basic decision-making ability, resilience, and tenacity are also essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize cash collections to targets set for your scope of customers
  • Manage assigned accounts
  • Maintain control of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
  • Aging control to ensure Brazil AR remains healthy
  • Disputes management and resolution with Manager, Sales Administration, and Billing Team
  • Ensure collection activities meet deadlines
  • Support Sales teams and Customers on financial matters
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as needed
  • General support for Finance local team

Requirements:

  • Good level of English & Portuguese
  • Proactive in debt pursuit
  • Target driven and a team player
  • Firm but patient approach, strong objection handling skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic decision making ability
  • Resilient and tenacious with a proactive attitude
  • Good knowledge of Excel and WORD, ability to work with multiple IT tools
