Position Overview: We are looking for a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to oversee and coordinate patient care and staffing requirements within a healthcare practice. This role involves planning, developing, implementing, and assessing outpatient healthcare services, programs, and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate, document, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures that align with the mission and objectives of the healthcare facility. Act as the acting administrator in the absence of the Health Care Administrator and be available for emergency situations involving staff and patients.
- Oversee specialty nursing services within the clinic. Manage various personnel functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, promotions, and scheduling; provide guidance and conduct formal disciplinary actions for clinical staff.
- Collaborate in creating, executing, and enhancing training opportunities and skill development for all personnel. Analyze and maintain an effective nursing care delivery system that meets patient and family needs throughout the care continuum, achieving desired outcomes.
- Encourage education for patients, their families, and the community; engage in direct patient care activities as a strategy for role modeling or information gathering.
- Work with nursing colleagues in outpatient care to optimize the use of nursing resources across various clinics.
- Identify operational needs; manage appropriate levels of medical equipment and supplies and oversee equipment maintenance. Assess the environment and make recommendations to ensure optimal patient comfort, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the Health Center Administrator to determine the financial requirements of the clinic; provide budget recommendations, including necessary nursing personnel and patient care materials.
- Foster exceptional customer service throughout the organization; promote effective communication skills, including problem-solving, assertiveness, and support for team members, feedback, active listening, and conflict resolution.
- Develop and implement processes to improve clinic operations and practices for continuous quality enhancement.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
- A minimum of three years of nursing experience is required.
- Current RN Licensure is required.
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- Leadership certification must be obtained within three months of hire.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, Day Shift.
