Mechanical Trades Modeler

Becoming a highly skilled BIM Specialist involves modeling various trades, including MEP systems. Your background and project scope may dictate the specific areas you focus on.

This role typically requires creating accurate models that meet client requirements and team standards. As a BIM Specialist, your high level of modeling quality will be crucial in ensuring successful project outcomes.

You will need to have an excellent command of English for effective communication with both native and non-native speakers. Experience with Revit software is essential for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and residential construction projects.

A bachelor's degree in mechanical or civil engineering is required, although architects with extensive experience modeling MEP trades may also be considered.

• Experience with HVAC and plumbing modeling in Revit
• Coordination and clash-detection skills through Navisworks (Revizto can be considered)
• Familiarity with BIM coordination, clash reports, QAQC, and model accuracy

In addition to these key requirements, other desirable qualifications include:

• Familiarity with BIM add-ins (e.g., Evolve, SysQue, Fabrication Parts)
• Conceptual design/BIM Design assist experience
• AutoCAD Plant 3D knowledge
• Dynamo/Python knowledge applied to BIM
• On-site/field experience
