Database Administrator Role

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our DB2 database.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support for the DB2 database to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Implementing and maintaining database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business needs.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Solid understanding of client-server network communication and protocols.
  • Deep knowledge of relational database architecture.
  • Experience with IBM DB2 (Linux, Unix, and Windows) Advanced, Enterprise, and Connect versions.
  • Familiarity with SQL Replication (Dprop, Infosphere CDC, and QReplication).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Shell Script, Python).
  • Able to work with multiple cloud service providers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, IBM Cloud).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

You should also have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Previous experience with DB2 LUW Database administration.
