Lead Automotive Program Manager

The role of a Lead Automotive Program Manager involves serving as the primary liaison between external customer stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams.

This includes understanding customer requirements deeply to ensure solutions are aligned and issues are escalated/resolved promptly.

  • Planning and delivering complex automotive programs, particularly in the area of intelligent cockpit systems (e.g., infotainment, connectivity, user interfaces)
  • Owning standalone project workstreams while coordinating seamlessly within the broader organization

A successful candidate will balance technical acumen with strategic decision-making to meet critical milestones.

They will navigate the challenges of large-scale, cross-border projects involving multiple functional groups (software, hardware, and external suppliers).

The Lead Automotive Program Manager will define tactical approaches to maintain deliverables and timelines, motivating global teams to meet or exceed objectives.

They will establish and track key metrics to measure program success, reporting progress to senior leadership and customers.

A strong leader, the Lead Automotive Program Manager will demonstrate influence management, empowering teams, and balancing deadlines with team well-being.

They will identify and manage risks in complex automotive development cycles, from supplier and OEM constraints to internal resource challenges.

Requirements:
  • 7-8 years of automotive industry experience, preferably in IVI (infotainment) or ADAS systems
  • A Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • PMP certification

To succeed in this role, candidates should have relevant skills and qualifications. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the automotive industry, including IVI and ADAS systems.
