Automotive Development Manager

Job Mission
Develop and manage interior and exterior automotive components, leading the interface with local suppliers for component localization. Focus on cost reductions and product improvements for Brazilian markets.
Main Responsibilities
Research and develop components and local technology to improve vehicle local content. Implement localization and management of interior and exterior components according to product planning. Improve and implement design changes based on market requirements;
Test and validate products, suppliers' processes, and engineering audits. Support headquarters with data and benchmarking research about the market and environmental characteristics;
Collaborate with manufacturing process and quality teams to investigate and improve manufacturing issues. Collaborate with aftersales teams to investigate issues and improve customer satisfaction in the market.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Design, or correlated areas;
- Extensive experience in the automotive sector;
- Fluent English is mandatory: read, write, speak, and listen;
- Trained user of 3D Catia V5, V6;
- Knowledge in production process for polymers, plastics, foam, chemicals (sealers, asphaltic, insulator plate, films, elastomers, etc.) would be a plus;Knowledge on teardown and benchmarking, value analysis, value engineering;
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Team worker and influencer skills with good communication ability;
- Availability for national and international business trips;
- Fluent Mandarim would be a plus;
- MS Office skilled user;
- CNH type B is mandatory.
