Expert Java Developer Sought

We are looking for a seasoned expert in Java development to lead the design, implementation and maintenance of robust RESTful APIs using Spring Boot. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with cloud platforms, serverless computing and data integration.

The selected individual will be responsible for designing and developing scalable Spring Boot-based RESTful APIs, creating and optimizing database queries and schemas for PostgreSQL and/or Oracle databases, implementing data retrieval and integration solutions with Google BigQuery, deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Oracle Cloud) and developing and maintaining serverless functions using AWS Lambda and Google Cloud Functions.

Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features, participating in code reviews and mentoring junior developers, troubleshooting production issues and implementing solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 8+ years of Java development experience
  • Strong proficiency with Spring Boot and RESTful API development
  • Extensive experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL and Oracle
  • Experience retrieving and processing data from Google BigQuery
  • Working knowledge of AWS, GCP and Oracle Cloud services
  • Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions)
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Python programming
  • Knowledge of front-end frameworks, particularly Angular
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, Pub Sub)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, or Oracle)
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization
