Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our high-performance computing (HPC) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional HPC experiences from bare metal to public cloud as part of our broader Ubuntu platform.

Your primary focus will be on Python software development for automation of key software in the HPC sphere. You will work closely with our team to deliver charms that deploy and manage the HPC cluster and provide HPC software packages.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong background in maths and sciences, experience with building high-quality software, and knowledge of open-source principles. Familiarity with HPC environments and technologies such as Infiniband, RDMA, CUDA, MPI, Slurm, Lustre, and Singularity is highly desirable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with writing modern, maintainable Python code
  • Familiarity with Linux, Kubernetes, Public Cloud, OpenStack, LXC/LXD, Python, Go, Debian Packaging
  • Strong understanding of maths and sciences
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
