About the Role

Genpact is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Financial Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a Cloud Financial Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for driving the financial optimization of our cloud infrastructure and services.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management and optimization of cloud costs across multiple platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Implement cloud cost management strategies and best practices to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor and analyze cloud spending to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis of cloud usage and costs.
  • Develop and maintain regular financial reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to optimize cloud spending.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement strategies to achieve savings.
  • Work with engineering and operations teams to implement cost-saving measures.
  • Leverage tools and automation to improve cost efficiency and transparency.
  • Develop and manage cloud budgets and forecasts in collaboration with finance and IT teams.
  • Track and report on budget variances and provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure alignment of cloud spending with business objectives and financial goals.
  • Implement and maintain cloud financial governance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enforce tagging and resource allocation policies for accurate cost tracking.
  • Collaborate with finance, engineering, and operations teams to align on cloud financial management practices.
  • Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on FinOps best practices and cost management.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on cloud financial management and optimization.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage cloud cost management tools and platforms.
  • Ensure tools are effectively integrated with existing systems and processes.
  • Continuously improve the use and functionality of cost management tools.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cloud financial management.
  • Monitor performance metrics to ensure cost efficiency and optimization goals are met.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on performance metrics and optimization efforts.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud financial management.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve cloud cost management processes and practices.
  • Participate in training and certification programs to enhance FinOps expertise.
Qualifications

We seek a candidate with a strong background in financial management, cloud cost optimization, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in financial management, cloud cost optimization, or a related field, with at least 5+ years in a cloud financial management role.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their pricing models.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Experience with cloud cost management and optimization tools.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes.

Preferred qualifications include FinOps certifications, experience with automation and scripting, familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices, and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
