Cloud Engineering Role

Our organization seeks an experienced cloud professional to contribute to our engineering team.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in cloud engineering and is well-versed in SRE methodologies and philosophies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with service teams to enhance the reliability and efficiency of workloads and services using SRE practices
  • Develop and refine CI/CD processes to improve release cadence and success
  • Build, consume, and automate toilsome tasks from the toil backlog
  • Document knowledge and processes to ensure continuity
  • Practice and promote sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems to drive improvement
  • Write code that enhances scalability, performance, maintainability, and security
  • Refine monitoring processes, configurations, and thresholds to optimize system performance
  • Contribute towards identifying and implementing service level indicators and objectives for workloads and services
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a proven track record of delivering scalable, distributed systems projects in the past 5 years
  • Previous experience working as an SRE engaged with active development teams is mandatory, and the candidate should have a good understanding of SRE methodologies and philosophies
  • Ideal candidates have experience running multi-region workloads and possess in-depth knowledge of commonly used AWS services
  • Observability experience with distributed services, such as distributed tracing concepts
  • Independent and self-directed individuals to collaborate effectively with client engineering teams under minimal supervision
  • Strong programming and automation skills: Python, Golang
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
