Job Summary

The Customer Trainer will play a critical role in delivering da Vinci System technology training and facilitating surgeon-led training for surgeons, first assistants, and OR staff from various surgical specialties. This training professional will work closely with the Director or Training Manager to develop and implement training programs, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct da Vinci Surgical System training programs at designated training centers and remote locations
  • Lead and support specialized training programs and society events, providing expert support to surgeon educators and course participants
  • Conduct surveys to gather data and measure program effectiveness
  • Act as a subject matter expert for internal projects, including new product development, training material/protocol development, and training research initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Training team to improve existing training programs and develop new ones
  • Train the sales force to conduct in-services and system technology skills development activities with customers on new and established products
  • Occasionally support the da Vinci System in a hospital operating room
  • Support da Vinci Surgical System troubleshooting and maintenance at the training center
  • Manage training center logistics, inventory, and training calendars
  • Maintain all capital equipment, including cleaning and sterilization of instruments and accessories
  • Support positive relationships between external training center personnel and ISI management
  • Contribute to the organization's quarterly goal achievements
  • Develop competency in da Vinci System technology, applications, and advanced technology, as well as OR efficiency, training pathway process, and training/coaching techniques/methodologies

Requirements

  • Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish

Education and Training

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Clinical or Health Sciences, Healthcare Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Communications, or Education
  • Note: There is a minimum expectation of 24 months in this role to be eligible for an opportunity to transition into another position within the organization

Working Conditions

  • Ability to sit or stand for multiple hours
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Medical-device experience
  • Professional Training experience with 4+ years relevant experience
  • Clinical and/or operating room experience
