Sourcing Expertise Lead

The Strategic Sourcing Lead is responsible for spearheading cross-functional teams and providing expert sourcing and negotiation guidance in primary categories and/or alternate programs as needed.
Primary Function/Key Responsibilities- Act as a trusted advisor, consistently delivering on fundamentals and advanced sourcing techniques through the execution of complex and/or ambiguous projects with tailored engagement models.
- Lead cross-functional work teams and provide sourcing and negotiation guidance in primary category and/or alternate programs as needed.
- Contribute to the development or enhancement of institutional sourcing/negotiation best practices.
- Develop event strategies and buying programs for indirect spend categories, including guiding the team in financial analysis methods, such as clean sheet and award scenarios.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience are preferred.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills are essential.
- Experience in public speaking and presenting is necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required.
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule around sourcing events is beneficial.
- An MBA or Juris Doctor (JD) would be an asset.
This position may be considered for a remote or hybrid work arrangement based on our needs.
