Product Analyst Position

This role involves developing tools to support rate revisions for Personal Lines insurance, including auto, home, and umbrella policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and manage Personal Lines auto, home, and umbrella off-balance builds.
  • Gain a deep understanding of Personal Lines insurance, company products, rate revision processes, and tools.
  • Produce tools incorporating indications, in-force, and retention trends to adjust base rates and achieve specific rate levels for each state and product.
  • Develop tools to calculate each policy's premium using current rates and incorporating proposed adjustments to base rates and other factors.
  • Determine the quality of data and flag defects and discrepancies for review.
  • Troubleshoot and fix errors in the tools.
  • Document changes and adjustments to tools and processes.
  • Monitor and manage deadlines and deliverables.
  • Communicate with relevant teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of rate change strategies and correct tool usage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Work Experience: 1-3 years in a related field.
  • English Proficiency: Fluent Required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.

    • Full English Proficiency.
    • Good data/technical skills.
    • Solid mathematics/analytical skills.

    • PC Skills, specifically Excel - Intermediate.
    • Verbal and written communication skills - Intermediate.

    • Attention to detail - Advanced.
  • Software / Tool Skills:
    • Excel - Intermediate (4-6 Years).
    • Office Suite - Intermediate (4-6 Years).
    • SQL- Basic.
    • Python code skills- good to have but not necessary.
