Production Process Optimization Specialist

Ongoing optimization of production processes to increase safety, product quality and reduce operational costs is a key objective. The implementation of new products and formulations for manufacturing scale involves defining necessary operational parameters for good performance in batch production.
This role requires adaptability and the ability to calculate, simulate and analyze process costs. Additionally, developing and implementing process improvements for existing and new products is essential. Monitoring production and analyzing pilot batches is crucial for identifying potential improvements and implementing process optimizations.
Key Responsibilities:- Adaptation of processes according to production lot size;
- Calculation, simulation and analysis of process costs;
- Development and implementation of process improvements for existing and new products;
- Monitoring production and analysis of pilot batches;
- Support for the implementation of new technologies;
- Audit of internal processes;
- Analysis of operational indicators;
- Collection of data, root cause analysis, proposal and execution of corrective actions;
- Identification of potential improvements and implementation of process optimizations;
- Support for project execution, commissioning and startup of equipment;
- Development and review of operational procedures and work instructions;
- Simulation of processes in the laboratory to analyze root causes or improve processes;
- Creation and conduct of operational training;
- Support for the quality and EHS system and its tools;
- Assistance in defining containment actions for quality problems;
- Act as liaison between quality and production;
- Application of 5S principles, eliminating waste, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, equipment and machinery;
- Support for the development plan for engineering process interns through theoretical and practical training;
- Performance of other related activities as required by your supervisor or according to established procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering;
- Advanced English proficiency;
- Intermediate Spanish proficiency;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office package;
- Knowledge of ERP systems;
- Familiarity with problem-solving tools (e.g., Ishikawa diagram, PDCA, Pareto diagram, 5 Whys);
