The role of the Network Security Engineer is to ensure operational stability and continuous service improvement of cloud network infrastructure. This involves collaboration with a global team of network engineers, working with engineering and architecture teams, and engaging with various stakeholders to own the end-to-end operating model of network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate cloud network services infrastructure with focus on managing Public Cloud Networking on GCP and Azure.
- Support network improvement and lifecycle projects in order to maintain a state of the art functional network infrastructure.
- Implement network infrastructure automation tasks via Terraform, Ansible and Python.
- Develop and maintain scripts using iRules for F5 LTM load balancers.
- Design and implement security policies based on traffic patterns using Advanced WAF and DDoS functionality on F5 LTM.
- Manage Palo Alto Firewalls along with Threat Prevention/URL filtering modules.
- Knowledge of CDN Networking using Akamai or Cloudflare.
Requirements:
- Understanding of cloud platform network infrastructure and operations.
- Technical skills in BGP, VPN, IPSEC, VPC, LTM, SSL certs; Network Security skills desired – L3/L4 firewalling, WAF, DDoS, Bot Management, URL filtering, etc.
- GCP/Azure Public Cloud skills are required and AWS is preferred.
- Experience in network automation in cloud environments is preferred.
