Core Operating System Developer

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Junior Linux Kernel Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have a background in software engineering, be able to collaborate with a globally distributed team, and be willing to travel for company events.
About the Role:
- Diagnose and resolve issues in the kernel reported by customers, the community, and discovered through rigorous testing.
- Collaborate regularly and proactively with a globally distributed team.
- Learn from senior mentors to gain expertise in the inner workings of the Linux kernel.
- Work closely with external teams on bleeding-edge platforms.
- Take personal responsibility for delivering various flavors of the Ubuntu Linux kernel.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Well-organized and motivated self-starter able to thrive in a remote work environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
- Programming experience in C and/or Rust.
- Familiarity with version control practices, ideally with git.
- Understanding of operating system kernel fundamentals.
