Senior Linux Kernel Developer

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining kernel modules in a Linux environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on development experience with Linux or UNIX internals and a passion for systems-level development.

You will contribute to the design and development of features for our multi-version file system, address performance and scalability improvements, and diagnose and fix bugs in a distributed system context.

  • Design and develop new features for the multi-version file system
  • Develop and maintain kernel modules in a Linux environment, supporting related OS versions and platforms
  • Address performance and scalability improvements and diagnose and fix bugs in a distributed system context

To succeed in this role, you must possess significant experience with Linux kernel development, including experience with Windows kernel development. You should also have a solid understanding of Windows File System Architecture and be able to perform kernel-level debugging using tools like WinDbg.

We are looking for a talented individual who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to specify requirements and deliver robust solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Significant experience with Linux kernel development, including experience with Windows kernel development
  • Solid understanding of Windows File System Architecture
  • Ability to perform kernel-level debugging using tools like WinDbg
  • Working knowledge of x86_64 instruction set
  • Knowledge of complex distributed systems
  • Ability to debug complex issues in a distributed systems environment
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols in a cross-platform environment (SMB, NFS, RPC, UDP, TCP/IP)
  • Ability to debug issues at the protocol level
  • Ability to administer Windows machines in a networked environment
  • Significant experience programming in C
