Highly Skilled Mechanical Engineer Required

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for performing engineering design review and analysis assignments involving significant projects or several smaller or less complex projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of conventional engineering practices and the ability to apply them in a variety of contexts. You will work closely with other technical offices to ensure that all projects meet the required standards.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Drafting technically accurate and timely reports and responses to letters, faxes, and other forms of communication.
- Providing technical advice to field operations and other technical offices.
- Performs work that involves conventional engineering practices but may include moderately complex problems such as resolving conflicting design requirements, material standards, or coordinating activities among other disciplines.
- Bachelor's degree in Marine, Mechanical Engineering, or other related fields.
- Possession of a Professional or Chartered Engineer license is highly desirable.
- At least 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a shipyard, design/consulting office, shipping/oil company, or classification society.
