The role of Senior Revenue Accountant is a pivotal position that entails overseeing the revenue recognition process from contract inception through to finalization in the general ledger for assigned client portfolios. This position demands a diverse set of skills, encompassing revenue accounting, financial analysis, and adherence to GAAP ASC 606 and IFRS 15 corporate policies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing activities to meet business and financial close requirements
  • Improving and managing the contract approval process from proposal through signature
  • Carrying out month-end closing tasks, journal entries, and reconciliations for assigned clients
  • Assisting in preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting requirements, including variance analysis
  • Supporting external and internal audit processes
  • Preparing and maintaining deferred cost analysis and client margin analysis

To excel in this role, candidates should possess 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably combining public accounting with industry experience. Experience working with sales finance and operational teams to forecast financial results and revenue recognition treatment is also essential.

Candidates should be familiar with US GAAP (ASC 606) and IFRS (IFRS 15) revenue recognition rules and have experience working in software companies or IT service companies.

This is a full-time position requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
