Job Title: Technical Product Owner

Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail. As a Technical Product Owner, you will play a critical role in supporting the strategy and development of our localization applications in Brazil and Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the IT Applications Business Units Solutions for Latin America to develop and execute the vision, roadmap, and execution of localization applications.
  • Contribute hands-on technical work to ensure the development and maintenance of critical business applications.
  • Work closely with the technical team to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
  • Ensure applications are hosted on AWS with robust CI/CD release capabilities.
  • Mentor and guide the technical team to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Use Power Automate to streamline workflows and approval processes.
  • Create ad-hoc reports from data warehouses to support Mexico and Brazil sites.
  • Deploy interface connections between applications/products and global tools as required.
  • Design and maintain the DRS plan for local applications.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for maintenance plans on local critical applications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Experience in full-stack web application development.
  • Experience in Node.js, front-end framework (Angular preferred), and cloud-based application hosting (AWS preferred).
  • Proven track record of leading technical projects and delivering business-critical applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Databases Management and Transactions with SQL – Intermediate.
  • Advanced English required.
Desirable Characteristics:
  • Ability to analyze a company's big-picture data needs.
  • Cloud Server Support (AWS) knowledge – Intermediate.
  • Maintaining and updating technical documents and procedures.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Effective team player and facilitator.
  • Strategic and clear thinking to translate discrete and complex ideas to business-driven results.
  • Detail orientation with a strong drive to enforce common standards.
  • Proven ability to work in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated acceptance and adherence to high ethical, moral, and personal values.
  • MS Office – Advanced.
  • Power Automate – Intermediate.
